Hi Everyone,
I’m excited to announce that I am building a wellness program, and working as massage therapist aboard an expedition cruising vessel, in Antarctica, this winter for 3 months. I will be sad to be away from Chill, my husband and Seattle, but will be back after some amazing experiences.
As many of you know I have worked in Antartica before as a sea kayak guide and zodiac driver. This year I was hired on by One Ocean Expeditions, to set up a wellness, spa sector on board, as they are creating an Active Cruising Program, which will allow people to stay in shape and pamper themselves while traveling in the most remote, harshest region of the world. I will offer a range of spa / body treatments that will work in conjunction with our sauna and plunge pool. I will also teach a few morning yoga classes.
While away I will send photo and story updates from my life on the high seas. Massaging on ocean swell, that should be interesting! and I hope to get some time in a kayak, as well.
I wish you all a fantastic winter in Seattle and thank you for your visits and laughs, up until now! It has been a wonderful 9 months for me at Chill Massage Therapy in West Seattle, and I hope you too! While I’m away you will be in the good hands of Heather Glen LMP, Alix Mclaughlin LMP, and Diana Elizabeth LMP all of whom, can take care of and free you of worries and knots with a wide range of massage modalities and skills. You can find out more about them on our website. www.chillwestseattle.com
Again, though I am excited for this oppurtunity, I am also so grateful for your support and friendship and I look forward to my return. Until then check back to keep in touch and I will try to share my experience from Antartica!
Have a fantastic winter, stay warm but stay Chill!
Cheers,
Maureen d’Armand, LMP
